Riding Gear – Reax Traveler Backpack
When facing the decision of which motorcycle backpack you should buy there are many factors to take into account. From weatherproofing to comfort you need a bag that’ll tick all of your specific riding requirements. The Reax Traveler Backpack does its utmost to cover all of your commuting needs in one very stylish and surprisingly affordable package.
The Reax brand was developed by members of the Revzilla crew. Revzilla are arguably the most knowledgable bunch of people around when it comes to riding gear. So it goes without saying any gear that’s associated with their brand is going to be good.
With a 27L capacity, the Reax Traveler is the ideal motorcycle backpack for daily commuting or a light weekender. Finished in heather grey and black nylon the Traveler doesn’t pigeonhole itself as motorcycle gear making it ideal as any occasion backpack. The bag features a 500D padded base so you can confidently rest it on any surface. Additional waterproofing comes in the form of a tethered cover that can be pulled out and over the entire bag when the weather turns sour. With 7 points of adjustment, padded shoulder straps and an EVA back panel the Traveler aims to minimize fatigue during longer hauls and when it’s fully loaded.
Reax has cleverly used a clamshell-style opening for the Traveler Backpack’s main compartment. This makes it possible to utilize the full capacity of the bag in the most efficient way possible. Where this pack really excels though is the options it offers for storing your belongings. In total there are around 20 different compartments and pockets built into the design, each with their own special purpose. These include a water bottle pocket, fleece-lined mobile phone pocket, anti-theft valuables pocket, various netted pockets, a key loop, and pen slots. Reax has also integrated a fleece-lined laptop and tablet pocket that’s designed to prevent your expensive devices from hitting the ground when you place the bag down. And there’s even a helmet G-hook so you can hang your lid off the back of the bag!
To add to all this you’ll also find reflective areas on the Reax Traveler Backpack to help keep you safe when you’re out on the bike. At a touch under $150 USD we think this is uber proficient backpack is a bargain.
