My new rubber turned up today, a pair of Firestone Deluxe Champions. I found a couple of dealers in Australia but went with Deus Ex Machina in the end as their price was competetive (thanks again Taka). The tyres look great but I’m holding off fitting them till winters over. Aesthetically these wheels are the bomb but I don’t think the tread is the safest pattern available on the market.

Now all that’s left is to order my rear set pegs and the bike will be done (until I start tinkering with performance parts. I’m also planning another project in the coming weeks which will be a “Cafe Racer on a Budget” bike.
