Riding Gear – Nexx X.G100 Carbon

Nexx XG100 carbon helmet review

The Nexx XG100 Carbon tips the scales at a measly 1250 grammes including the helmets removable peak. The outer shell is constructed from 100% carbon fibre and features a single mesh vent in the chin guard for ventilation. On the inside, Nexx has carefully considered rider comfort by utilising skin friendly, anti-bacterial fabrics that are removable and washable. Panels of camel brown suede leather help to reduce internal temperatures as well as providing improved comfort in contact areas.

The helmet’s exterior is coated in a thick coat of glossy clear that heroes its carbon fibre construction. Down its centre is a black metal flake racing stripe bordered by silver pinstripes. Three press studs along the brim of the opening allow fitment of the included peak. Single studs on each side of the Carbon give the rider the ability to fit one of Nexx’s 6  PC Lexan visors (smoked version included).

Nexx has also included an optional chin guard to keep the breeze out during the cooler months and the helmet secures using a standard double D-ring strap. The XG.100 Carbon is ECE 22-05, DOT and NBR-7417:2001 safety certified allowing it to be legally worn in most countries.

Nexx XG100 carbon helmet review
Retro styling mixed with modern safety and technology. It’s a formula that’s being used a lot in modern riding gear thanks to the rise in popularity of the custom scene. The XG.100 Carbon from Nexx Helmets is the latest addition to their full face helmet range. The Carbon blends high end, cutting edge materials with the XG.100’s distinctly retro styling to create their lightest and strongest X.Garage motorcycle helmet to date.
