Bike Of The Day: 1000cc Norvin by Millet Racing

The “One and Only” Norvin is a unique creation designed to honor Jean-Louis Millet, a former sidecar racer who achieved great success in the world of racing, winning three French championships and a European championship. Millet later founded his own exhaust company, Millet Racing, and managed a professional race team.

The Norvin is a cafe racer that boasts a 998cc Vincent V-twin engine built onto a Norton frame, giving it its distinctive name. Over 15 skilled professionals were involved in the bike’s construction, led by Bruno Silvestre, a close friend of Jean-Louis. Many of the team members were former associates of Jean-Louis himself. The custom build features several unique components, including the frame and shock absorbers, with 3D modeling used to ensure that the large Vincent engine could be accommodated within the chassis.

The result is a truly stunning example of engineering, weighing in at a mere 330 pounds. The Norvin is an outstanding tribute to the legacy of Jean-Louis Millet, and a testament to the skills of the talented team that brought it to life.
