Bike Of The Day: 2016 Triumph Thruxton R Custom

The Triumph Thruxton R pays homage to the iconic British motorcycles of the 1960s, embodying the café racer style with a fusion of vintage aesthetics and contemporary performance. Its heart is a torque-rich 1,200cc parallel-twin engine. This 2016 model, customized by Madhouse Motors, boasts a distinct green hue with elegant black accents.

Triumph’s modern café racer interpretation is evident in the sculpted fuel tank, classic round headlamp, minimalist bodywork, and signature rear cowl. The green finish complements black-finished elements like the powder-coated 32-spoke 17” wheels, which sport Bridgestone Battleaxe tires from 2018. The bike also boasts an upgraded LED headlight, powder-coated fork lowers and triple trees, tinted windshield, black-finished engine case, and a custom tan leather seat.

A 1,200cc 8-valve parallel twin engine delivers impressive power. The Thruxton R features upgraded 490 Series rear shocks, Showa front piston forks, Brembo 4-piston brake calipers, Automatic Braking System, variable ride modes (Rain, Road, and Sport), switchable traction control, and a twin exhaust system. The result is a blend of timeless design and modern technology, capturing the spirit of the classic era while delivering outstanding performance.
