This 1983 BMW R100 was transformed into a cafe racer by Untitled Motorcycles in San Francisco, California. Throughout the process, the fuel tank underwent stripping, brushing, clear-coating, and painting in white with red and blue stripes, featuring custom roundels. The frame was modified, powder-coated black, and a custom subframe was created.
Additional features include a two-up seat in tan leather by Acker Leather Works, a brushed and clear-coated front fender, a powder-coated black rear fender, LED lighting, a hub-mounted license plate holder, a Brown side stand, a shortened center stand, CRG bar-end mirrors, and twin hidden horns.
Up front, a wheel with stainless steel spokes and a black rim is mounted, while an alloy R65LS ‘Y’-style wheel is mounted at the rear, both fitted with 4.1×18″ Michelin Sirac tires. Braking is managed by twin EBC deep dish rotors with overhauled Brembo calipers and a Nissin brake master cylinder at the front, complemented by a drum at the rear.
Power is derived from an air-cooled 980cc opposed twin, reported to be stripped, vapor-blasted, and equipped with upgraded pistons, pushrods, and stainless pushrod tubes. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission, a driveshaft, and a rear drive hub sourced from an R65LS.
