Bike of the Day: 2020 CCM Spitfire Bobber

Number 246 of just 500 units produced

Few modern motorcycles capture the spirit of bespoke craftsmanship quite like this 2020 CCM Spitfire Bobber. Hand-built in Bolton by CCM Motorcycles, this limited-production machine represents a rare intersection of artisanal engineering and contemporary performance. This particular example—number 246 of just 500 units—embodies the exclusivity that has made the Spitfire range a standout in the custom-inspired segment.

At its core lies a 600cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, delivering approximately 55bhp through a six-speed manual gearbox and chain final drive. While modest on paper, the powertrain’s character aligns perfectly with the bike’s stripped-back ethos, offering responsive, torque-rich performance in a lightweight package. The tubular steel frame and extensive billet aluminium detailing underscore CCM’s commitment to weight reduction and structural purity.

Visually, this Spitfire Bobber leans heavily into its handcrafted identity. A muted grey finish contrasts with a lacquered exposed metal frame, while carbon-fibre mudguards and a matching headlight cover add a modern edge. Brown leather grips and a black Alcantara diamond-quilted seat elevate the tactile experience, blending heritage cues with contemporary materials.

The rolling chassis is equally considered. Sixteen-inch wire-spoke wheels wrapped in Avon Tyres Chrome Cobra whitewalls reinforce the bobber stance, while suspension duties are handled by Marzocchi front forks and a VSS rear mono-shock. Braking is entrusted to Brembo components, ensuring confident stopping power.

With its Acewell digital display and minimalist LED lighting, the Spitfire Bobber balances old-school charm with modern usability—an evocative, limited-run machine built for riders who value individuality above all else.
