Cortech Skipper Bomber Motorcycle Jacket
The CORTECH Skipper bomber jacket is as much a piece of fashion to behold as it is a functional addition to your riding garb. Which is the perfect combination, because when choosing motorcycle gear, protection should always come first and foremost. However, when given the chance why would you choose anything less visually appealing?
And if you’re thinking the Skipper bomber jacket by CORTECH might only nail the looks on the outside, rest assured its style carries on throughout. With a 100% polyester outer layer, available in black or olive green, the jacket is lined with a “quilted polyester interior in High Octane Orange” – which is as loud as it sounds. Storage isn’t a problem, with both external and internal pockets, including one fitted with RFID blocking technology to keep your phone secure in both the real and digital world.
For impact protection, the Skipper Bomber Jacket is fitted with a layer of Dupont Kevlar around the elbows and shoulders as well as CE Level-1 rated armour. For an added line of defence, you’re also given the option of adding a CORTECH backplate (sold separately). All this is wrapped up in a lining of abrasion-resistant mesh and held together securely with YKK® zippers. Stretchy, rib knit cuffs, collar, and waist work well at keeping you comfortable by keeping out the cold and the warmth in. And if you find yourself caught in a downpour, there’s a sewn-in waterproof liner too.
Because of it’s lightweight yet heavy-duty construction, the CORTECH Skipper bomber jacket is a good all-rounder, serving well as both a warm-weather windbreaker and a water-resistant jacket that’s light enough to throw over warmer clothes when it gets chilly.
While all this tech and style might usually mean a hefty price tag, CORTECH is able to keep the Skipper bomber jacket competitive against lesser quality pieces, which is good news for anyone searching for an affordable new riding jacket. Not only can you get a quality piece of protective gear that will get years of use, but it won’t even break the bank!
