A meticulously crafted custom café racer based on Honda’s legendary CB750F platform is now available for purchase on Bring a Trailer. This 1978 Honda CB750F Super Sport represents more than three decades of ownership, having been acquired by its current caretaker in 1991 before undergoing an extensive frame-off transformation. Since completion, the bike has accumulated only 400 miles, showcasing the quality and exclusivity of the build.
Finished in eye-catching Bubble Blue with a silver center stripe across the fuel tank, the motorcycle combines classic Honda styling with modern café racer aesthetics. The frame was powder-coated black, while numerous brightwork components were professionally chrome-plated to create a striking contrast. Custom touches include a brown leather bump seat, Tomaselli Condor adjustable clip-on handlebars, rear-set foot controls, LED lighting, and bar-end mirrors.
The CB750F rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear ComStar multi-piece wheels wrapped in Continental ContiGo! tires. Enhancements include K-model valve guides, a Cognito Moto air cleaner, finned engine case covers, tuned carburetor jetting, a single-pull throttle cable, and a Delkevic four-into-one stainless-steel exhaust system. The engine delivers power to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and chain final drive.
Further modern refinements include a Dragon Gauge LED multifunction digital speedometer and tachometer integrated into a modified CL77 headlight housing, along with an LED oil temperature gauge.
