Bike Of The Day: Moto Guzzi V9 “Morning Glory”

The Morning Glory by Revival Cycles is a unique bobber, paying tribute to the iconic 1970’s Southern California chopper/bobber scene while combining vintage appeal and contemporary style. Based on a 2017 Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer, the bike underwent significant changes to achieve its unique look.

The front suspension of the Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer was replaced with a custom girder style front end, dramatically altering the bike’s appearance and stance. Despite having a stable cruising style with 4.7″ of trail, the Guzzi still maintains good maneuverability, thanks to the narrow bars and reasonably light steering feel.

Inspired by vintage Bultaco bikes, the motorcycle’s bodywork was crafted from lightweight aluminum, contributing to both the visual and physical lightening of the bike. The combination of ape hanger handlebars on the girder front end, along with the original Guzzi controls, seamlessly merges the old and new elements of the bike.

The addition of a Firestone rear tire and a slim Avon tire on the front complements the overall stance and emphasizes the appeal of the original V9 Roamer wheels. To complete the chopper vibe and sound, a bespoke stainless steel dual exhaust was added, allowing the engine to breathe freely.

The Moto Guzzi V9 “Morning Glory” stands as a testament to the Revival Cycles crew’s creativity and dedication. With its captivating blend of vintage charm and modern aesthetics, this exceptional bobber sets a new standard for iconic and unique motorcycles.
