Rumor has it that due to a major investor pulling out of the project, Norton motorcycles will be ceasing production on the new Norton Commando 961. Refunds will be given to the hopefuls who put down deposits and no bikes will be completed or shipped. As yet there is no mention of this turn of events on the website (www.nortonmotorcycles.com) but that may be because they can’t afford to pay their programmer anymore…sorry that’s actually quite bad taste.

This is devastating news as it seems that once again Norton is fighting an uphill battle to get their name back on the streets. If you are by any chance a cash up investor maybe you should consider throwing some money Nortons way. If they sell anything like the Ducati Sport Classic range things could become quite profitable.
