Riding Gear - RSD Trent Jacket

Roland Sands Designs has quickly become one of the hottest names in classically styled motorcycle apparel. Their latest offering, the Trent hooded jacket, blends modern streetwear looks with classic café racer styling and introduces new advancements in technical materials to their rapidly growing range.

Sands own experience as a GP racer and an everyday street rider is evident in the products he develops and the Trent riding jacket is no exception. “For 2017 we’ve focused on armour expansion, innovative materials and unique styles that perform as well as they look,” says Sands. The technical material used in the construction of the Trent jacket introduces a new level of protection to the RSD textile range. The Trent jackets outer shell is constructed from an ultra-tough, 320gsm blend of Cordura and Kevlar for increased abrasion resistance. Another welcome addition to the Trent jacket is included armour. Unlike Sands leather jacket range, the Trent’s retail price includes removable CE level 1 shoulder and elbow armour and has an internal pocket for a back protector.

When it comes to providing rider comfort during varied seasonal conditions the Trent was designed to cover all bases. For the cooler months, YKK zippers with aqua guard liners help to keep out the cold and provide basic waterproofing. Then when things warm up the café style snap collar, zip sleeves and zip closure shoulder and back vents allow plenty of airflow to keep you cool.

As with all of the jackets in the RSD range comfort is another essential ingredient. The Trent’s pre-curved sleeves, rotated shoulders and satin inner lining for exceptional riding comfort. The  Codura/Kevlar outer shell also offers a lightweight and flexible alternative to leather options. Additionally the jackets heavy duty fleece hood can be removed to offer its wearer different seasonal and styling options.
