The Triton is powered by a worked and balanced, 750cc Triumph T140E complete with JoMo cam, titanium valve springs and a splayed port head. The twin was then transplanted into the '62 Norton Slimline Featherbed frame and secured in place with a set of Dresda motor mount plates. Feeding the engine are a pair of twin Amal carbs with velocity stacks while a pair of NOS swept back headers with classic Gold Star silencers manage exhaust gases.
At the business end of the bike you'll find a set of Clubman racing triple clamps with adjustable clip on bars, Magura levers, a Whirlpool throttle and classic gauges. At the back a custom rear loop supports the Cafe style seat and Lucas tail lamp above a Dresda boxed swingarm. The wheels are 18 inch shouldered rims laced with Buchanan spokes and a Grimeca 41s brake up front.
But not everything on the bike came out of a box. The polished alloy tank is a custom made, hand formed unit with hand painted Triton logo and pinstriping. Thom also created one off rear sets and an oil bag that's nestled in the frame, polished and painted to match the tank. Upon further inspection you'll also notice the custom fasteners, lines and uprated electrics that show exactly how much time and planning went into creating this highly desirable ride. The Triton makes a fitting bike for attracting customers into the Iron & Resin store...but I can't imagine Thom leaves it standing still for all that long.
