Glemseck Cafe Racer Sprint races

Now this looks like fun! The Glemseck 101 Cafe Racer Sprint. This year was the third time the event has been held and it was a huge success. The Glemseck 101 Cafe Racer Sprint is an international sprint-race into genuine Cafe Racer tradition on the historic german racetrack of Solitude near Stuttgart and Leonberg. The race consists of a hard acceleration run over the distance of a 1/8 mile, or about 200 meters. A Pin up competition and show and shine also took place on the day with what looks like hundreds of Cafe Racer styled bikes in attendance.

"Racing Cafe Racer in the classic style. They must be street legal! There are no construction year restrictions, and all bikes will start in a common class. Man against man, woman against woman, man against woman. Whoever crosses the finish line first comes into the next round. Only air-cooled engines are permitted for the Cafe Racer Sprint and the International-Sprint! And there is a rock solid engine capacity restriction: Motorcycles up to three cylinders – a maximum of 1000 ccm / four cylinders have a maximum of 750 ccm."
