The Kawasaki W800 "Cafe Style" is a salute to the cafe racer culture that started in the same era as the W800 is styled after. Although the W800 Cafe Style isn't as extreme in it's styling or performance as a true Cafe Racer it's certainly a good start.
The Kawasaki W800 Cafe Style features a selection of aesthetic additions and modification that create it's Cafe Racer looks. These include 3 options of custom body and frame paint, black engine casings (on black and dark green models), lower handle bars, wasps tail style seat and front fairing. On the black model you will also find gold rims just like on the Honda VTR250 which look just as bad on this bike as they do on the Honda...I'm sorry but all gold rims are poo.
The W800 is out now in Australia (just shy of $12,000AUD) but you will be hard pressed getting your hands on one as they are on back order at most dealerships around the country. Kawasaki definitely underestimated the popularity of their latest addition to the W family. If you want a Cafe Style W800 you will be even more disappointed as it doesn't look like we will be getting them in the land down under...hopefully their popularity will change that. If you are really desperate Kawasaki look to be selling the Cafe Style parts through their Japanese website.
